The dress code of December is designed to be elegant and festive. Let's take inspiration from the noble materials of haute couture to create satin, velvet and organza nails, and to decline a subtle game of festive colors and bright radiances. Here is our guide to nail polish colours and manicure trends to wear in this early winter. Ready, set & glow!
The hypnotic effect of satin nails
With satin nails, it is the guaranteed whaou effect, "galy dress" way, ideal for capturing eyes. They play on the shine of a soft color that suddenly bursts into the light. A light and delicate sparkle at your fingertips that becomes festive at the end of the year. Here are our three colors favorite pearl varnishes Green™ and Green Flash™ for ultra desirable satin nails:
Fairy : one white varnish iridescent through holographic effects, like a moon ray in the heart of winter night. A subtle and luminous halo that slides on the nail like a liquid satin, totally hypnotic and totally in the spirit of the nightdresses of the Miu Miu collection autumn-winter 2025 !
Satin : one soft pink varnish pearly semi-opaque, delicately milky for a glazed milk nail effect, chic and discreet finish. A reinvented pale pink shade that diffuses light like a duchess tissue, spotted on the Alberta Ferretti podium.
Carnation : one beige beige nail polish watercolor with very sensual pearl reflections. A shade that evokes the softness of the skin and creates an immediate good mine effect on your hands, in the wake of this set of Christian Siriano's autumn-winter 2024 collection.
💡 Tip Satin Nails : Prepare your nails carefully so as to obtain a smooth and uniform surface of the nail. Apply base coat, color and top coat for shiny, clean satin nails, with a beautiful depth effect that lengthens your fingers.

The glamour of the Velvet Nails
The velvet nails get by superimposing a intense color and pigmented and glazed light powders which produce a diffuse reflection, in the manner of a brushed velvet, this famous "glazed" so popular on social networks and in the world of beauty. Instant glamour, contrasting like fire under the ice.
Our selection of velvet colours to match with Glazed powders:
Red Velvet is a deep red varnish with theatrical velvet look. Intense, enveloping and timeless: it is the iconic shade of the month. To sublimate your red nails, we come over sifting a hint of Pink Glazed powder which files a lightly pink/cooked glaze. On semi-permanent varnish or classic varnish, this powder creates an immediate sewing effect. Result: a velvety red, almost tactile, as glam, as the pieces found in the Roberto Cavalli !
Khaki is this green felted with grey undertones at the edge of the green forest, more urban. A neutral shade that gives a sophisticated note to any winter silhouette. Add over Golden Glazed, a powder with pearly golden reflection. Result: one Moorish khaki, like an old gold velvet, which echoes the latest collection of Giorgio Armani.
Poppy Seed is much more than just a color. This cloudy grey blue is a deep hue, elegance and modernity without equal. A stormy touch that comes to dress the hand without tarnishing it. As for powder White Glazed Effect, it deposits ultra thin white mother-of-pearls on the nail, like a ice veil, perfect for gently pimping your manicures. The combo of both creates a blue and refined fleece velvet... wink at the d-shaped modelsAnna Sui and ideal for winter monochrome looks.
💡 Tip finish Velvet nails : If you use Glazed powder, don't forget the top coat finish layer to fix your nail art and ensure the long hold of your Velvet nails.

The vaporous gum of Organza Nails
Air, translucent, glowy, organza nails reproduce the lightness of the famous veil of the same name. In this spirit of simplicity and refinement, minimalist manicure is required by playing transparency with varnish care beautifiers and light pearly shades. It is the "second skin" manicure par excellence that makes your hands sparkle without excess. Our favourite varnishes for a seam sail :
Active™ Plump : one varnish bezeling care enriched with vegetable collagen and peach extracts which dresses nails with a visually repulsed appearance and a baby finish pink pearl. The plate appears more regular, more bounced, as regenerated in the image of this virginal dress of the Fendi collection autumn-winter 2022.
Active™ Shine : one all-in-one enhancer effect highlighter that naturally illuminates l'ongle by bringing shine, ideal for a sparkling French manicure. Its beet extract formula is designed to embellish the appearance of nails and offer a made clean and bright, slightly nude tinted. A blind eye to the fascinating effects of transparency in the Giambattista Valli, autumn-winter collection 2024.
Pearlescent : one pink beige varnish with iridescent finishes and pearly reflections that hangs the light. Sweet and precious, it is part of these natural colors that match with all the carnations. It is totally in keeping with the spirit of the pieces of the Dior collection autumn-winter 2023.
💡 Tip Organza nails If your skin is very clear, you should prefer translucent rosés. On medium to dark skin, bet on slightly warm pearly beiges for a chic contrast.

Frequently Asked Questions
How to make a Velvet Nails effect at home?
To achieve a Velvet nail effect at home, start by preparing your nails well. Line them, push the cuticles and smooth the surface with a file preparation. Then place a protective coat base and then 2 layers of color Green™ or Green Flash™. You are advised to choose an intense and pigmented color: a deep red, a solid burgundy, a spicy brown or a night blue. When the colour is dry, place a glazed powder veil with an applicator. Clean the excess powder with a dust brush and seal the manicure with a layer of top coat.
Which manicure is the most chic for parties?
For the end-of-year holidays, classic shades such as red and burgundy are a sure value. You can twist your manicure by enjoying Gold or silver glitter or Ice powders or mirror powders. An ultra-gloss black varnish can also bring a sophisticated touch to your Christmas Eve look. Finally, minimalist nail art patterns such as French manicure, gradients or delicate brush designs (e.g. snow stars or snowflakes) are also very popular.
What colors of varnish wear for a minimalist winter look?
For a minimalist winter look, choose neutral and sober colours such as black, grey, white or pink beige. Simple and elegant shades, easy to match and that fit all situations. To give your nails a little more shine this winter, choose an iridescent varnish that will subtly capture the light. If you want a shiny, trendy soap nail manicure, prefer a semi-transparent white or nude varnish.
